Tidy up and Make Over

Not a full make over, just a little update for the blog.  New header, new filmstrip with buttons that take you to more places.  The newest additions are for facebook and for an on line gallery at 500px.  Check them out when you have time.

Where the Sea Meets The Sky

Oh how I loved this fishing village on the Cinque Terre Coast ~ this is Vernazza halfway up on our climb to a fabulous lunch.

Still experiementing and playing with digital brushes and digital canvas.  I think I'll always enjoy pushing pixels.

Where Has The Week Gone?

Time flies, truly it did this week ~ one thing after another and then some more.  Another shot of the grounds for the wedding venue of Willian and Jenny (date set for May of 2015).  This is on the grounds of The Inn at Park Winters.  Many changes happening before we reach this point. . . 

Hope to get back here in a more timely fashion.  Enjoy the sunny days!

What's New ~

Well, I have joined more social media ~ facebook.  I owe it all to the prodding of certain people, but mostly my nephew's wife, Lauren, who happens to work for facebook!  There were just too many things that I did not "get" until she sat down with me at my computer while visiting last weekend.  Many thanks, Lauren!

I have a personal page, which really won't be a lot of personal info.  Maybe some basic tutorials and how-tos, since so many people ask how I do what I do.  You can find it here. The header looks like this:

Wild Mustard

Wild mustard is blooming everywhere in Northern California ~ field after field of yellow against the spring sky.  Some call it a flower, some call it a weed ~ either way, I found them delightful on this particular day.

Hope your day brings you a "delight", as well.

A Quick Little Tour

Images from our trip to Italy ~ these are from Florence.  We began one evening at dusk at the Piazza Michelangelo above the city, walking and shooting as it got darker.  We walked into the night ending up at the area around The Duomo, the large dome on the right in this first image.

Walking down the path toward the Arno River

Heading towards Ponte Vecchio.  This bridge totally enchanted me with the little shops. In days before, the butchers and fish mongers had their shops here but now each little space is for an artist.

And one view, even closer.  I loved the light coming from the shuttered window.

Sure, we had to lug our cameras, tripods, and equipment ~ but it was no problem, really, when you had views like this.  I am enjoying processing my images from the trip.
